Mrs. Sailaway was out of town for the weekend so I put a lot of time in on the bug out trailer, probably logged a good 12 hrs. On it this weekend. It will be, ac,dc,propane, solar power,wind12v gennerator when I'm done. It will be like a sail boat on land. I also want to add a water purification system and ham radio. I figure I'm about 1/2 way done with the project. Being a bottom feeder, the trailer I started out with is a 1964 4seasons, 15' long, found it along the road for $300.00:D

Hey Sail, be it here, there, or wherever, are you gonna post any pics of your trailer? And what do you pull it with? Will the Jeeps handle that much weight?

All the Jeeps will pull it Jason, it's only 15'. I want to get rid of some of them, but not sure which ones. Mrs. Sail would like to see them all go except maybe the 69 Commando, she thinks that's the cute one. There is a photo of the trailer in the BOV thread, it was in the middle of all the Jeeps. I will take a couple more and post them shortly, the snow finally melted so I could get at the thing.

Spent about 12 hours on the internet reading and getting ideas from long time preppers. Makes me wish that our family cabin was more remote. It's off the grid but on a semi major escape route for a good portion or the central valley. The cabin is in a location with no power and phone. Propane lights, refrigerator, stove, generator, hot water, spring feed water. The trash burner stove is plenty to heat the cabin. I would like to add a couple of solar panels. Over all it's simplicity will help us build our next house. I did not realize that there were so many ideas and different designs for underground shelters.
