If you think 8$ a pair for heavy merino/nylon socks is expensive, stop now.

These are quite heavy, with a double thick cushioned footbed, halfway betweeen ankle & knee high (mid shin). I buy them at Great Prices on Outdoor Gear, Equipment & Clothing for Camping, Hiking, Climbing, Kayaking & More from Campmor, 2 pack for 15.99, Falmouth Expedition II. I've bought them for my 3 kids, as well as a good supply for myself. It's the bang buck win on socks to my knowledge, because they LAST..

Thick enough to work for slippers indoors..
