Who thinks the Tea Party is effective?
Have the polititions taken it over? it started out a grass roots group of Americans who wanted to take back their nation. So far that has not happened although in the bginning it looked promising it seemed to ave fizzled out.
Will they survive or will the continue to be divided over polititions and issues? Why can't white Americans stick together like all the minority run organizations do?
Why is there even a minority or any other ethnic groups like Black Panthers or LaRaza aka'The Race' needed now anyway?

IMO the reason we hear the politicians crying ut that Tea Partiers are *racist/terrorist/ignorant hicks/inser any other insulting monicker here* is because the tea party WAS scaring the hell out of them. What started as a grass roots refusal to accept Politics as Ususal caught on with many and the 10 term politicians don't like it one bit. I'm not sure, but I understood that the term "tea party" started at a rally held by Ron Paul.

I have a suggestion for all politicians: to serve as "public servants" they should not be paid one cent, perhaps only receiving some paid expenses. If they served as citizens do for jury duty, they'd wanna get out as soon as possible, and we'd no longer see multiple term congressmen or governors:dunno:.

I believe the first congressmen were not allowed to "run" for office, they had to be nominated by citizens who knew them and believed they had something to offer the country as an elected official. Wouldn't that be something!:beercheer:

True Americans are by definition INDIVIDUALISTS. They are not defined by their ETHNICITY, skin color or race, many came here from a country or govt that persecuted them. :ignore: They only want to be left alone to pursue life as they wish, take their chances, accept the responsiblities and hardships and failures that go along with it, and to enjoy their successes if they are successful. They don't WANT to be classed with others. They prefer privacy and respect the privacy of others. They want the right to pick their friends as they wish, they resist being told what they can and cannot do, how they can do it, and what to do with it when they are done....

CAN I GET AN AMEN?

First one I went to was Glen Beck sponsored, then all the polititions started lining up to make claims on it.The politition rush pretty much finished it off.
Now its a regular politicle circus.

Or at least only pay them minimum wage and provide 'dorms' of some kind for them when they're in Washington.

I went to a Tea Party last summer and the message was pretty much good, but there was a lot of radical screaming that I didn't see was accomplishing much except whipping people up into a frenzy. When a calmer speaker got up, I was more impressed.

I am not a fan of the current TP, as they have been hijacked by the religious right. I like the original taxed enough already, but that is not what it is about any longer.

As long as traitors and Socialists run the big 4 media outlets and sheeple believe what they spew, not very.
you forgot to add... "and as long as the youth vote continues to use The Daily Show & The Colbert Report as actual news sources"

Really? (re: the radical stuff) I've never seen anything like that here, and always figured it was just a media label. That's disappointing to know that it really does happen. :( Because the stuff here has been very impressive - people playing to their own strengths for different benefits (such as hosting constitution study groups in their homes, or other people organizing letter/phone campaigns - pretty much anything under the sun that falls under their tagline of 'fiscal responsibility, limited government, free markets').

The only way to take back our country

Is a fairy tail....:D:D "Once upon a time" in a wonderful country things had gone to hell... the leaders were supposed to be the "Employees" of the people....but had become the RULERS!.. this could not stand so the people stood up and made them all come home to their own states.. open an office in the state capital building... were allowed a staff of 4 who were state employes and worked for the people not the politician.

Their former Kingdom called DC was closed down and turned into a museum ... Now the people could watch their "Employees " and make sure they weren't being wined and dined by lobbyist who are pimps buying favors from our employees to be paid for by the peoples money... no more!

And while they didn't live happily ever after the people weren't getting screwed as much... yes the fairytail has a lot of holes in it...but it could work!... AH's like Plousy couldn't break the bank with huge airplanes flying her ass back and forth coast to coast every few days...

I like the idea!

Sad huh? As we Tea Partiers rallied most of our kids and grrandkids were at Obamas inaugaration crying like cult members.
We gave these kids up to the dept of indoctrination and this is what they gave us back, self loathing obama voters.:D
Mostly old and middle aged Americans were at the Tea Partys .
Bye bye American pie.

I never saw that kind of thing going on either and the first year i was involved and never missed a meeting. Then came the polittions and the Univision Speech, that was my last meeting.
I was going to go back this week, but had a problem with a few of the members working illegals .
I know that most Americans willl not do the work for these farmers, because they are not hungry enough 'yet' long as they get unemployment for YEARS,welfare food stamps they won't work.
Muslims for Ron Paul and Mexicans for Sarah Palin is no better than what we have.
West just voted with the rinos and leftist,so he is not who I thought either.

The people here who jumped onto the tea party movement were already radical and frenzied, and they were beyond talking with or reasoning with. You either nodded to their rantings or they considered you their enemy, and they hate everyone who doesn't think exactly like them.

The tea party was just an outlet for them. They thought they could push their ideas through by way of the tea party movement.

Trust me...the big Tea Party meeting/gathering/whatever-you-call it that I drove 100 miles to attend started off almost like a bunch of hysterical protestors, screaming and ranting like a pep rally.

The main speaker and other speakers brought things to a calmer level where you could actually hear and understand what was being said, instead of the noisy nonsense it started with. Not a good example for the tea party, though it ended better.

I heard the Tea Party they had in Kalispell (65 miles from us) a few months later was more civilized. It isn't just the media blowing things out of proportion, though the media sure does enough of that.

Here in N.Fla it was about the leaders breaking our laws and wanting to keep taxing us to feed their voters, both parties, both rich and poor.It was more about the Constitution and other laws being broken or ignored.
I never heard religian come into it,not once.We not only welcomed legal minorities but even tried to recruit some to our side.Very few came.
The news gave us hell and told lies, even put in radicals to make us look bad. Some were caught in other parts of the nation.
We were grassroots here don't know about the rest, but I do know we were for awhile anyway.

I can see that happening. Makes me glad for what we've got here.
What do you have there? I can't see how anyone in this whole nation has anything to actually be glad about .:dunno:
We are fast becoming third world nation ruled by dictators .Not one person will escape the chaos,no matter how far into the woods they run.We are all in serious trouble.
Sound negative and bad, well who can deny it.:(
'Personally' I'm slowly accepting the fact this is all in Gods hands, and the way it is suppose to be.
I DON'T EVEN RECONIZE THIS NATION ANYMORE! I will die in strange land.:surrender:

I suppose you'll say we have our heads in the sand (I don't think we do!) but some of us focus on the good around us too. We see the beauty of our country, the good folks in our neighborhood or at work or church or even while sitting in the park watching families walk by, the (few) good politicians (we DO have some in our area), and a lot of the other good things around us.

We're concerned, not consumed, by the problems in our country, with politics, with the economy.

Despite how discouraging it can seem, we have HOPE!

I am GLAD for what I have here. VERY GLAD!

"God Bless America, land that I LOVE!
Stand beside her, and guide her,
though the night with a light from above!
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America, My home sweet home."

This land is MY land, this country is MY country, and I love it.

I love the friends here on the forum who work to share knowledge and strengthen and encourage each other. We will get through this!
