The how did you meet your spouse thread got me wondering about how old we all are. While far from scientific I decided a poll would give us a range of our regular members ages without actually have to give away your age. So I have set the poll to private. That way we can get a picture without violating opsec or without violating the delicate sensibilities of some of our posters. I know we have a lot of lurkers and members who peruse but rarely post and members who only stop in from time to time so I will not let this poll expire. So... How old are you?

Like my Grandpa used to say " You're only as old as the woman you sleep with."

The answer I give my kids when they ask is... 401. They think I'm a vampire.

When my wife turned 30 someone jokingly said to her "So is this your 2nd annual 29th birthday?". She got a serious look on her face and replied "Nope, my 30th and proud of it. Now I can complain about how vapid and vacuous 20-somethings are". :)

A man at a party announced His wife had just turned 40 year old & he was going to trade her for 2- 20 year old girls.
All his friend laughed, then looked at the wife who replied, you can not keep up with 1 40 year old woman, what could you do with 2-20 year old women???

70 is coming up fast but so far I am not slowing down for it. I plan to stay active building new things and continue learning. There are days when I feel older but it only lasts until I get up and start in on the first project of the day. I plan on living until I am 1000! I have the projects to keep me active until then too. ;)

My grandfather on my dad's side is my hero. His wife died when he was 79 and he grieved for so long that we were afraid he was going to die of heart break. At 84 he got some younger girl friends and really started enjoying life again. At 85 he had three 19 year old girl friends. He outlived two of his three sons, which he did not like doing but he lived a good life and left having made the world a better place.

I fall in the largest % so far. I alway tell the wife. I might old, but I'll never grow up. Never realized how hard that would be. LOL.

Chronologically I am 60, my mind still thinks it’s 20 and my body works like its 80 (its been banged around a few times), my grandchildren think I am 100 and my mom thinks I am about 12. My spouse and are are within a year of each other but not telling which if us is the older

I'll give the same answer I gave a census work who knocked on my door recently. He asked for my age. I asked him what ages my neighbors, the Hill sisters, gave to him - explained that I was just a little older than the two of them. So he wrote down "older than the Hills."

A few years ago I would have traded in my 40 year old wife for 2 20 year olds but I'm not wired for 220. Now I'm upper 50's.

I'm old enough to know better, and to young to resist.
