Stagger is a short-short story, fortunately FICTION.

I've cleaned it up to PG. It's a bit grim and gritty.

...and of course, I found a MS Word generated error AFTER I posted it.

commenced...how the heck did it mistake that word for another and I just click the 'correction'?

Very sobering. It's not pretty, but probably closer to the truth of what it will realistically be like after TEOTWAWKIthan than most of us want to admit.

    The ending was touching.

I know, do you think the 'hugs all around' part was over the top?;)

Might be fiction but as real as it will be in that sort of life. Not pretty at all, no romance or bull. Its a great story well done and to think some fools want this type of thing to come to pass. Thanks great read.

Very descriptive. I could feel the rain. This is sobering because it is painfully realistic. We don't even know how hard life would/will be without our cushy technology. We're what, four or five generations (for country folks, for folks whose families have lived in cities since cities were built, it's been longer) from life without electricity and gasoline motors. I marvel at folks who actually say they want a collapse. I think maybe they aren't thinking straight.

    Thanks for writing.
