Yes - that is HOW evaporative coolers work. For all practical purposes, that should be the sole focus of this thread.

1) The cooling effect to air from evaporating water is viable
2) Using ice is not a practical form of cooling air

I Know this is difficult for everyone to find the best and cheap AC.

I'm not sure whether this is any good, but I found AC unit to be quite interesting. But my experience was amazing with them.
