Just wondering if anyone has 2010 resolutions or preparedness goals they'd like to share? I'll go first-- some basic goals for 2010:

1. Become a better forager, gardener, and herbalist. Dry more of the harvest instead of wet pack canning it.

2. Go fishing more this year.

3. Teach my child more survival skills while we are in urban areas and while we are primitive camping.

4. Renew my CPR and first aid certification.

5. Learn a few new hobbies/skills for additional income and for the experience.

These are pretty basic, but I have some specific goals in mind that I'd like to meet within each basic category. What about y'all?

Stop buying Ipods, blackberries, plasma TV's and other electronic gadgets.
Turn off American Idol, Dancing with the stars, etc, etc.

I'm sure I can keep these. :)

I don't normally create "resolutions" for myself, I normally review my unfinished plans from the year previous and what my plans are for the new year.

  1. Improve marksmanship - archery, rifle, pistol, cross-bow
  2. Grow / raise more of my own food and learn / practice new ways of preserving
  3. Finalize plans for off-grid living and start getting my hands dirty - make it happen this year
  4. Renew my Wilderness First Aid certificate - it is about to expire
  5. Practice my forge-welding instead of just my mig and tig welding skills
  6. Certify in 3D CAD designing - its time to expand my knowledge in another level

For me, work at being a better husband, there is always room for improvement there and burn more calories than I take on through a healthier diet and exercise.:2thumb:

Where did the time go?

2010 was a full year for us, and even if we didn't accomplish all the goals on my wishlist, at least we were headed in the right direction. Completed lots of construction, gardening, landscaping projects.

If you remember me from MONTHS ago, rest assured I'm doing well. Unable to log in very frequently, but still manage to catch up now and again. Missing Jerry D Young's fiction, gonna have to add logging in for reading to my 2011 list of goals. :2thumb:

Just wanted to log in tonight while I had the opportunity. Hopefully soon I'll have the time and technology to talk to y'all more. :)
