So, one of the things ive been looking fwd to in settling down is getting involved in govt at the local level......I am absolutely NOT interested in holding any kind of official position but i definitely feel it is my duty to stay abreast of the current happenings in my town.....and to raise the BS flag if needed....So tonight i am going to my very first town hall city council meeting.....I have no idea what to expect but i am very excited.

Reynolds GA has a current population of just over 1,000 people. Mostly farmers......maybe i will meet some good folks...who knows.......I am going to try to keep my mouth shut for awhile being that not only are we new to the community......but we are a cpl of "damn yankee's".........

My question to the group here is, How many of you are involved in the local govt in your town?

What are your exp good and bad?

    thoughts in general?

I go to assemblies, but am not involved. Those things can get out of control, the first few you're right, hang out in the back and see how things go.
