I gotta say wow again. I am off to reading my next story, that is, if WildMist doesn't drag me off to bed shortly.
You write your strident female characters a lot like Grace Livingston Hill and Emilie Loring wrote theirs. (Perhaps you've heard of one or both of them?) One can just love to hate them. It makes your stories feel familiar to me. Thanks for writing!
Thanks everyone. Afraid I don't know Grace Livingston Hill or Emilie Loring, but any comparison to an accomplished author is high praise for me. Thank you.
I don't think too many people have heard of them. They wrote romance novels that, *gasp*, have no sex in them! Their characters were clearly defined good and bad. I have a book by GLH written in 1920. Anyhoo, you have the same style of "bad" characters - at least the women - as they did, and you should consider that a compliment. Both ladies wrote over one hundred books each, and GLH's books have been reprinted several times over. So pat yourself on the back, mister. You deserve it! :2thumb:
