The deficit this year is supposed to be $1.6 trillion. It's impossible to borrow that much. The government is printing money with nothing to back it up. They've been doing that for two years now. That's why food prices are up about 30% over last year. In time we'll have hyperinflation like Germany did in the 1920s.

Another big problem is the dollar as the world's reserve currency. In time that will end. Already Russia and China do business using the Chinese currency. In time as the dollar loses value OPEC will stop accepting dollars in payment for oil. When that happens the price we pay for oil could go up 10 fold over night.

And the third head of the monster is Greece and/or other EU countries defaulting. From what I've read that will create a financial crisis 10 times bigger as the housing bubble created in 2008.

But hey, don't worry. If there's a major crisis the IMF will provide as much money as necessary. In other words, the Federal Reserve might just print $5 trillion to make everything stable. And just by doing that they'll make our money worth a lot less over night.

All very scary and very possible. I believe it is part of the plan -- once accomplished we will be the socialist nation democrats have been wanting for years.

I say pay off debt and spend all money over a reasonable 'rainy day fund' on things you can use that have a long shelf life. Specifically things essential to life. Im hoping the SHTF waits a couple years so maybe I can get out of dodge.

You might want to prepare first and pay off debt second.

The key to paying off debt is RADICAL lifestyle modification.

The worse it gets the farther in the sand go the heads of Americans.

They won'nt fight now when all they need is protest and ballots.
A times coming when fighting won't do any good but to die and watch your kids die will be better than being enslaved.

I am preparing for the fall as best I can.But what am I doing for my kids by hiding out and allowing their nation to be taken over. Will they be able to hide or even own a place to grow food and raise animals?

I see them all working in the fields for their masters. Those will be the lucky ones.
