Hi, all. Very busy Husband and Father to four children here. I'm a large machinery Service Engineer by trade. That means part machinist, part mechanic, part electrician, part fitter, a little bit tinner, and a smidgen of a lot of other things. Although Customer Hand Holder often fits the bill nicely. I spent almost as much time in the back country as in town in my youth, and even still, I'm in a largely agrarian area. We garden a bit, keep dogs and fish. Have had birds, and usually have a cat, but, sadly, Mr. Tinkles died a few months ago and haven't had the heart to get another yet. I'm always on the lookout for ways to reduce our ecological impact, and dependance on un-sustainable resources. I'd love to get to 'real' homesteading one of these days. We'll see what the future brings! Looking forward to meeting lots of great folks here and getting involved in lively discussion.
