You know, just a couple of years ago, the German government was threatening to take some children away from their parents because they were homeschooled. The family fled Germany for the United States, and the HSLDA helped them settle in Tennessee. Immigration granted them a status as refugees from persecution, but Eric Holder overturned it and was going to deport them. Never did hear the outcome of that. (HSLDA has a strong, seasoned legal team.) But it's interesting that that's not happening in Russia.
