All my family are celebrating this win. Even the one in Texas.
U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said that "America is proud of our immigrant heritage and our long-standing moral leadership in providing support to migrant and refugee populations across the globe," and that "our generosity will continue." She added: "But our decisions on immigration policies must always be made by Americans and Americans alone. We will decide how best to control our borders and who will be allowed to enter our country. The global approach in the New York Declaration is simply not compatible with U.S. sovereignty.”
And that is the core issue.

Good day today. For some reason your reply reminded me of this old song.
@Meerkat never realised how racist that song was back in those days as a young child, song came out before I was born.
Unfortunately I wouldn't call him a good ambassador for Australia since he has been convicted and jailed in a court of law for inappropriate dealings with children and recently went back to court on more charges. He was a talented singer though.
I never realized it. Till you just told me.
Got my 10x20 indoor climate controlled storage unit. It will be good for certain preps and materiel because of heat/cold and humidity will be constant and reduced, in that order.
Put my company tractor truck in the shop for necessary work while I have two days off from work.
@Meerkat thought you didn't know. The line in the song "let my abos go" referred to indentured servitude/ slavery in my terms of Australian aborigines who didn't get the right to vote until the 70's from memory.
A lot of the aboriginal children were taken away from their parents and placed in institutions or adopted out to white families. Because of this a lot of those children lost their culture and all family connections to the land and family. It was a disgraceful time in Australian history and those children were known as the "stolen generation". I am glad many of the aboriginal children who were removed from families have since reconnected with loved ones.
