Hi, all, located the link to this forum from the FTF.

I'm extremely interested in homesteading and disaster preparedness - in whatever form the disaster might take.

A lot of the issues that many people on this forum face (and a lot of the legislation you have) are not relevant to me, but I see a lot of stuff that is and that which isn't is extremely interesting to read about.

My preparedness is largely centred around surviving natural disasters - seismic and meteorological, mainly - with an increasing interest in more sustainable living to help weather the ever-increasing cost of living.

I'm also an avid camper and tramper, so being prepared to survive in the wild - physically and mentally - has been a long-term priority.

Looking forward to learning and sharing such knowledge as I have based on my own experiences.

Well G'Day to you too!

I know what a camper is (I am one as well) but I haven't heard the term "tramper" before ... would that be similar to what we call a "hiker" here in Canada? If so - I am also a hiker, X-country skier, snow-shoe'r and adventure tour'r.

BTW: What site is the FTF??
