Could Trump with his laundry list of faults be even remotely as bad as Hillary
Absolutely. Trump cares about no one or nothing but himself. He's an overgrown two year old born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He's used to getting what his way by buying it. He frequently let's his bulldog mouth overload his Pickenese a$$. He has no moral compass he does whatever he feels like doing whenever he feels like doing it. He's used to being king. I trust Trump to do whatever is in Trump's best interest, the rest of us be damned. I would vote for Berney before Trump, at least he owns what he believes.

I'm a Conservative. I'll vote for Trump. At least he wants to build a border wall and limit Muslim immigration.

I don't trust Cruz anymore after he blamed Trump for the violence at his Chicago rally. Then I learned that his wife is a CFR member and opposes everything he pretends to stand for.
BillS,

What are your views on this paragraph? Read it before moving on.

Economic prosperity and a world safe from terrorism and other security threats are no doubt inextricably linked. While governments play an invaluable role in both regards, we must emphasize the imperative that economic investment be led and perpetuated by the private sector. There is no force proven like the market for aligning incentives, sourcing capital, and producing results like financial markets and profit-making businesses. This is simply necessary to sustain a higher living standard for the poorest among us - truly the measure of our success. As such, investment funds and financing mechanisms should be deemed attractive instruments by those committing the capital and should only be developed in conjunction with market participants.
Heidi Cruz wrote this in the CFR report under disenting opinons. She was on the CFR as part of the 31 person panel for one study. She was silent on the parts of the study calling for the globalization.

Trump has gotten a lot of milage out of this.

I'm not. Can't do it. Just can't. I'm tired of feeling like I need a shower after I vote & I'm tired of the republicans thinking I will vote for anyone with an 'R' after their name no matter how despicable of a human being they are. If they're going to run the country into the ground, they won't use my vote to do it. If we're gonna have yet another national embarrassment for president, I'd rather they be a democrat.

Honestly, I've stayed away from the news for the most part. I'm thoroughly disgusted.
Thing is, no one else can get the delegates besides trump. If no one does the establishment will put up a schill candidate and piss off all conservative voters. Then it's a Democrat for sure. There is a lot to not like about trump. There is a good bit to like as well. By your post I got the impression you think the republicans are putting up Trump as their candidate. I'm confused by this as that is clearly not the case. He is despised by both political parties and that is one of the positive things about the guy. Probably not a guy I'd have over for dinner but a lot of great people in history fall into that category. You don't have to be likable to be successful and successful does apply to trump. And don't discount the value of having someone in the white house that actually has skin in the game. This is a case of what's good for the gander is good for the goose. Seems to have a nice family. To me that speaks volumes about a person. We have had the lesser of what evil from establishment candidates for ever now. Despite a lot of the smears and biased agenda driven media we actually have an outsider winning. Outstanding in my book although I don't think "they" are going to actually let it happen. Don't think I'm a blind supporter. I know Trump's faults. I know, without a doubt, that he will do a lot as president I don't like. I think that he is our best shot to shake the power of the status quo enough to give us regular folk a small window of a chance to get some minor correction on our course. I think Trump will improve the business environment in this country at least in the short term and enough for all of us to line our pockets and homes with a few more preps to help us through what I consider is inevitable. And I love watching the political elites on both sides squirm. Hot damn that's been satifying! All in all he has my vote. I guess I'll even vote for Cruz although I think that's a wasted vote. He has a good voting record but I think he will end up being like all the rest very quickly. A Democrat vote is a vote for civil war imo. But hey. Just my 2 cents.

I would vote for Cruz. He has a good voting record and I trust that he is conservative.

I would vote for Trump. He has both parties running around banging into walls trying to stop him. While I don't see him as conservative as Cruz there is the added benefit of stirring the pot. A vote for Trump is a vote against the status quo. Trump winning is a threat to the people that have been running our country into the ground for decades. They want a strong central government so they can use more power. Power is an opiate. That is the main reason that term limits should be established.

Trump is a bit unpredictable. That is not all bad. The question is not whether Trump is for himself but whether he is for the country. I believe he is for the country but there is only one way to find out.

Let's say that Trump is for himself. His money comes from doing business with the rich and big business. If the economy tanks he loses money. If the economy improves businesses rent more space, rich people buy bigger apartments, more people go to casinos, and Trump makes money. As does the entire country.

The presidency is the last office so he is not trying to build a career. He is self funding so he doesn't owe the favors that others do. He has been buying politicians for years so he knows the game.

Our culture has slowly demonized alpha males until they have been pushed into a closet that has a label on the door that says "racist" "sexist", "homophobic", Neanderthal", "knuckle dragger", "war monger", and so on. The left leaning couture has been playing alpha males by attempting to shame them with these titles.

Think about all the past Presidents of the US. All have been beta males except for one, Reagan was an alpha male and in most circles he is considered the best president in the last 50 years.

Donald Trump is an alpha male, the only one running for president. All the rest are beta males. Yes, he offends people, yes he says what he wants to say. This is what alpha males do, but alpha males are also the people that shake stuff up and get things done and this is exactly what we need now. Political correctness has slowly destroyed our country and only understanding this will provide any chance that we can climb out of this black hole that will only lead to the total destruction of the US. Our enemies know this and have stated this and are counting on PC to finish us off.

If you like the why our country has evolved into an almost third world economy and a world joke then by all means vote for one of the beta males running, because nothing will change if they are elected.

If you really care about the future of our country then we need to be shaken up and only Trump can do that.

BTW after saying all that, our system is so corrupt that the chances of Trump being elected is very small any way.

Trump will not have 1237 before the convention. He will not get them on the first vote when everyone is bound. IF Cruz gets over 1237 with the second vote, will you vote for him?

If neither Trump or Cruz are the nominee, I am going write in. Heck, if Trump is the nominee, I may still write in. One day I will have to stand before my maker and defend some decissions in my life. I cannot defend supporting Trump. I have enough other things to answer for, I do not need that one.

He's made himself a very wealthy man by playing with dirty politicians, I doubt he's had a come to Jesus moment & is changing his ways. He cares about himself, period. If the economy tanks, real estate goes on sale. He'll win either way. He couldn't care less about the little people.

If nearly everyone has seen the president's wife naked, what do we call her since clearly first lady is thrown out. The entire country has lost their minds.

None of the candidates are over whelming but we cannot afford either Hillary or Bernie. A write in vote or not voting is the same as voting Democrat. Just that simple. IMHO Cruz is a prime example of corrupt politics. Don't forget the dirty trick played against Ben Carson and Mark Rubio. At least Trump has gotten the public to talk about issues, for better or worse. This election we have a choice of the lesser of the evils. A Democrat President selecting the Supreme Court Judges or a Republican President selecting Supreme Court Judges. This may be a case of hold your nose and vote for the GOP nominee.

I'd rather gargle my own barf than see the Hildebeast naked and Moochelle is only about a half second behind that. I don't know or care that she posed nude.

We've been being played against each other for decades by people who are pulling strings and to be perfectly honest I believe that Trump is absolutely involved in power brokering from a consumer perspective. He's a businessman and he needs things done, unions to NOT have a fit, laws to be passed or repealed, etc... the clintons have been the power-brokers for far too long, holding those purse strings and selling influence to domestic and FOREIGN interests as fast and often and expensive as possible.

to be perfectly honest, I suspect that the real meat and potatoes of the "home brew" server will be peddling influence through the clinton foundation. While everyone (who wants to see her elected) keeps downplaying the national security ramifications lets find out which really cooks her @$$. I bet it's the fraud and corruption and not the mishandling of our nations most closely guarded secrets. Well... secret until she and her staff were tossing them around back and forth on a server that apparently we "know" at least one foreign hacker used to peruse on a regular basis.

I would very much like to see a Trump vs. Sanders general election. Trump has agitated enough people and Sanders is so socialist I think as many dem's stay home as well.

Right now... it's not "IF".. it's only WHEN the train comes off the tracks. maybe I'm being overly optimistic and hoping that a Trump win could turn back the tide of the last 30+ years... its either that or within the next 20 years we're gonna see something never before in history. Our catastrophic debt to GDP ratio can't be sustained, and that's only doubled under Mr. Obama (with a complicit congress) and we keep getting screwed by these guys... at least Sanders tells everyone he's going to raise taxes out the wazoo and make everything free for the poor, that's his entire schtick... I can at least believe him that he's telling the truth.. I'd rather elect a liar that doesn't want to do that, but I'd take Sanders over Hildebeast every day if it were only between the two. :eek:vract:

Stock up on precious metals... gold, silver, and copper jacketed lead. just sayin...

Yes, he played with dirty politicians. That is what you do if you are in big business. That is just how the game is played. You give to anyone money that has half a chance of getting elected. Both sides often. This guarantees access. You invite them to parties where they can meet the right people.

I don't know if he will be a good president but I do know that Bernie and Hellery will be horrendous. I don't care if his wife was a model. I really don't care if Hellery interviewed Bill's prospective flings. I care about their politics and their policies. Liking him is not part of my equation. I think Trump hates to lose and it would be nice to see us turn around and win for a change. I think he will cut taxes and cut back on governmental controls which will stimulate the economy.

If you are looking for this mythical perfect person, I'm sorry, I'm not willing to run.

Cruz is playing the game well and might wind up winning the nomination. That would be even better.

:popcorn1:

Please, elaborate on your claim.

Don't forget the dirty trick played against Ben Carson and Mark Rubio.
You mean politics? Funny how the news (but the people on the ground in Iowa said) never mentioned how Marco Rubio also did the same thing through his campaign. I also have yet to see anyone come forward to state that they changed their caucus vote because of the statements made by the other parties. Not to mention the fact that the whole POINT of a caucus is to convince someone to leave one group of people and join another. Not to metion the fact that Carson got far higher than he was polling, so how was he hurt? Not to mention that it was flipping CNN that reported what Carsons campaign started!

Want to know what I saw? I saw a few campaigns did the same thing to Carson. Cruz was the only one with balls enough to own it and apologize several times for it.

Oh, and The Donald is doing the same thing to Kasich in PA saying he won't be on the ballot so why waste the vote.

As for the trick on Rubio? I must have missed that. But hey, Marco has come out for Cruz but stopped just shy of endorsing. Thats a political move, as endorsing would terminate his campaign and his ability to direct his delegates, some of whom may gravitate to Trump.

Concerning Cruz;

The media is holding onto the illicit affairs in his background and his history as a religious tent revival healer. And his wife freak-out on the side of the road and her stay at a mental hospital until Cruz could pick her up.

The media is keeping all this info for ammo in the future if he ever can get Trump out of the race.

All of the candidates have serious personality disorders.

Cruz has less of a chance to be president then any of the other candidates.
