anyone know where or if you can buy it online. It seems this stuff folded up is relatively easy to store and would make an awesome fence around your property in a SHTF situation. Also from what I was told it can stop a car

$65 bucks a roll. Call them and make sure it is legal to use in your state.

Dip it in a bucket of olive drab paint before installing it,that hides it from far off snoopers.that stainless steel shine just begs attention.

Right. If it is a SHTF situation, it is useless unless it's affixed to the top of a fence or something. I can leap and clear a three spool wide, two spool high concertina barrier with gear and rifle at a full run. I'm sure possibly more if I'm desperate enough. That would be a lot of spools to secure a parimeter.

Now, say you have an eight foot-high fence with the wire on top, I'd be hesitant to try. It's also good to have at the base on the interior for the intruder's "safe" landing after scaling the fence.

Make sure the wire barrier is where you can see it. Someone might bring wire cutters and a truck and steal your wire. It's pretty expensive.

I would never run razor wire. I'd probably end up needing to jump it and be SOL.

I'm with you Dean. If I ran it my luck is one dayh i would have to try and jump it and wind up with in tangled in some sensitive body parts. I saw this happen to a friend whenm I was about 14 years old. We were going through a barbed wire fence. He was holding a strand down while stepping over it. It slipped loose and stabbed him in his testicles. He immediatley dropeed to the ground, curled up in the fetal position and was yelling from pain.

I think some here don't distinguish between concertina and razor wire. The latter slashes and does major damage, it's not to be triffled with and normally there's a barrier before it because it's that bad.

Just remember, this type of stuff is just designed to slow aggressors down and give you an easier target to hit. To be truly effective it has to be where you can shoot at anyone trying to get through it. Another option is to use strands of barbed wire tightly criss-crossing the ground about 14 to 18 inches high with short sections of steel posts to hold it in place. You either have to run/walk through it or crawl under it. Either option sucks. and makes you an easy target for the defenders. The advantage is that the wire is cheaper and often free if you ask around for coils of old used wire.
