After reading several books on food storage, this is the one I found most doable. Basically, you plan enough meals for 5 weeks (could be less), 3 meals a day, list by ingredient what will be needed to make those meals, then store those items. This makes it easier to rotate the food as well because your food storage doubles as quick meals for days when time is short. This method is highly customized to the tastes & eating habits of your family.
