Well, I voted. I am among the 95.7% that voted yes. Why can't the government listen to the peoples voices?:gaah:

Edit: To avoid hate mail please note-- I am all for LEGAL immigration. I myself am only third generation American (on my Moms side of the family). When my GGGrandfather came here from Romania in 1905 he did it LEGALLY. He got a job, paid taxes, sent for his family, learned to speak the language and became a citizen.

My family on my Dad's side come from Germany, Ireland and England in the 1600 and 1700's. They fought in the French and Indian War, Revolutionary War, the Civil War, etc, they paid their dues.

This is one side of the family: http://www.prickettsfort.org/

That's what those morons in the Whitehouse and the Media don't get...

It isn't LEGAL immigration we're all upset about, it's the millions of ILLEGAL immigrants that we object to.

What part of ILLEGAL don't they get??? Illegal means they broke a law (and sometimes several more laws).

Makes you feel really good about the demoncraps catering to their voting base of illegal aliens, gun control advocates, anti-Christian and homosexual activists, wacko environmentalists, animal rights freaks, socialists, and welfare cheats.

The funny thing is, if you look at it realistically, both the democrats and republicans are biased, corrupt, self-serving,prejudiced...shall I go on?

So much time wasted with name-calling and finger-pointing.

Made me laugh when the oil spill started and right away different interest groups were pouring money--thousands of dollars!--into lawsuits over the fact that it HAPPENED!

We can't just get together and pour money and effort into SOLVING the problem instead of pointing fingers.

That applies to a lot of what happens nowdays. Disgusting.

    Divide and conquer.

    Who's winning?

Those ba$tards at every level of govenment who want to grab even more of our liberties from us are winning. The only exception I've seen was the 2nd Amendment Supreme Court ruling -- by the skin of our teeth, 5-4.

I really hate to sound so pessimistic -- by nature I'm not a pessemist -- but if those of us who cherish individual freedom don't prevail at the ballot boxes this upcoming November and again 2 years later (to boot ObaMao), I honestly fear that the America we have known and loved will be lost forever.

Gosh, I know that sounds kooky and dramatic, but just read the news. :(

Even prevailing in both elections, the other very real potential to utterly destroy America as we know it would be if even one of the five conservative Supreme Court Justices were to step down (or whatever).

This is the only reason I voted at all in the presidential elections. The truth is that both major parties are pieces of c*%@. The left has used the courts to legislate for many years and the balance is finally swinging the other way. Kagan is being used as the poster child to raise money for the democrap national convention (which should tell us much about her "neutrality").

The next major threat is the mainstream media. Thank God (or was it Al Gore?) for the internet and radio. Finally the other side of the story has a chance to be heard. Even on the Arizona law the media is still trying to make Arizona the bad guy for wanting Federal Immigration Laws enforced. The deadbeats of both parties in Washington should be ashamed of themselves for letting things get out-of-hand but they've all been trying to pander votes from every side.

    Throw them all out.

The Whitehouse, Congress, and the media get it alright. But what they get is money from the businesses that continue to hire illegals, and the lobbyists that represent them.

A few years ago, a manager from a local meat packing house was interviewed by the local media, with the agreement they did not release his identity. He said he would gladly put up with the occasional raid and shutdown, as he could recover the costs of the fine within a day.

As long as we DON"T have tougher fines and penalties given to the employers of illegals, nothing changes. And we will not see anything change until we reform the way we elect our government.
