However, we're the ones that are doing it to ourselves for the most part.
Couple tidbits, or nit picks? What have you... EMP, a 500 kiloton to one megaton nuke at 300 miles above Ks. would result in 90% fatalities for CONUS. Better would be to pop off 3 or 4 of the suckers to blanket the NA continent. Look at this: Report of the Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Attack ( LINK
) China's DF-41 has either a single 1Mt Mirv or 10-12 dial a yield MIRVs from 20 to 150kt. Russia's RS-24 Yars is perfect the the second scenario with at least 4 MIRVs in the 150 to 250 kiloton range.
The real thing to watch however, the key situation, is here at home. Civil war is the worst sort of war and we're being primed for it. We're at that point where all we need is a Harpers Ferry or a Fort Sumter.
That's what I think anyway.
Must agree.......most blow off any EMP threat, but the reality is even a nut case N. Korean dictator could pull it off.
Civil war? Let there be several simultaneous riots nationwide where the rioters DON'T just trash their own neighborhoods, but head for the suburbs to do their looting, arson, robbing, assaults/murders, etc., and see how fast the shtf!
Hell, a 15 year old with a beat up .22 pump could shut down a regional electric grid and have ammo left over. One intentional "rockslide" could cut off most of Denver's water supply. A couple pipe bombs in any major urban sewage system and you'd shut down service for days, possibly weeks. Anyone who thinks America is not vulnerable to "low tech attack" from within is mentally defective.
