I'll ask when I pick up the paper work for the genetic testing in 2 weeks.

how do you converse with a moose about personal space?

Its an honest question, because I know from first hand experience you can work with cats dogs and stuff like that... but how do you moose whisper (lol!!) without possibly scaring them which might get you hurt in the process? o.0

Since it is an honest question I'll give you an honest answer. You don't whisper. You keep something solid between the two of you and that block of steel on your hip adds to your confidence level. As with any creature whether it be a dog, a moose, a bear, or a wife, putting on a confident front is vital for survival.

She is a young cow and still doesn't get too far from Mom though they are starting to be seen separately. While it is wooded and there are plenty of things to eat it is a residential area so people are very common. I figure that I was the first person that she met when Mom wasn't there and she was just curious so she came over to check me out. I don't see them every time they come through but our place is definitely on their rotation. Every once in awhile I go out and shovel up a bunch of moose nuggets so it doesn't burn the lawn.

The new milking room/ goat barn as dropped in place earlier this week. Coated the floor a few days ago and started the electrical wiring lastnight. I'll finish the electrical today, set some new posts for the gates, and put up some vinyl lattice for skirting to keep all the critters from out under the building. I'll frame up the wall for the milk room later this week and start installing some shelves get the small fridge moved in for milk storage. I'll get some interior shots as we go.

That's some pretty high fa-looting housing for a goat! Not gonna let mine see that for sure. They'd never shut up!

We did have one that stayed at a Holiday Inn Express one night though. She was my wife's Grand Champion Meat goat doe, and she snuck her in because it was cold outside. It was in Louisiana, so I'm sure no one would have objected anyway! It was also snowing... Go figure...

lol, this is mainly for our does and momma. Momma was tired of milking in the center alley of our big barn, with the chicken mess, flys and everything else. So this will be a little more sanitary. The does give us babies and all, but don't tell the boy goats they live in the pasture across the driveway in a pallet shed.

I'd keep a prize winning goat in the hotel too.
