And he still hasn't.

He was hired by a small town PD who apparently did not do a very thorough background check and was eventually let go. Then he was hired by another small town PD (same poor vetting) and eventually was let go though there too. Then he went back to college and got his Masters degree and now he teaches Criminal Justice at a university in between benders. Seems like education is the right place for an alcoholic as he has been there for a number of years.

"polite society" requires an individual to follow rules, one is to listen and obey law enforcement.

If the LEO has to draw, things are out of control.

People love to arm chair quarterback. most of these people has no practical experience, but they know how everything is done.

This armchair quarterback sees a very stressed cop [ and understandingly so in this society ] and a really foolish young man who paid the ultimate price for his stupidity. I see two victims.
