We ended up with 18-20 inches. The last blizzard we had of this magnitude was in 1993 andpeople still talk about it. I'm sure this one will live on in legend for years to come. VERY widespread power outages and main roads, even interstates, shut down for extended periods of time. Nobody right around here panicked, though...I think for the most part everyone I know did alright. Some people did not have heat in their houses for close to a week, though...bound to be some busted pipes. We'll see in the next couple days.

Sailaway has bugged out to Miami Beach and Key West for another week until Snowmageddon is under control. I will have a few questions when I get back.

A light at the end of the tunnel ... (I hope) ... Saw our first robin yesterday, a sure sign that spring will soon be here. (did I just jinx myself?)

Temps looking good for the next 7 days, around 45 - 50 - I can handle that. Maybe it will dry up some of the mud on my driveway.

We've had some wicked squalls today, but only maybe an inch or 2 of new snow.

It seems like years since I've been in the garden.

Staying with a friend in Miami, Fl., we had parots in the back yard today! Is the white stuff melting?
