Nice shotty.how much?
I'm just trying to rub in the fact you've got a slow connection.

Too much. They're really rare here. You can't order one unless you're in law enforcement so the only way to get one is to buy one used from the police. That's exactly what I did. My gunsmith is a police armorer.

The other option is to buy a 14" barrel from Dlask and install it. That costs $300 Canadian just for the barrel. Do the vang comp machining and that turns the barrel into a $550 dollar piece. It was less expensive to just buy the used police magnum as it already came with the 14" barrel and the light.

If you can find a plain unmodified 870 police with 14" barrel they run about $700 used. Like I said it's all about rarity. Very hard to find.

I don't have a slow connection.its a few Mbs short of a T1.

You can own SBRs and sawed off shottys in Canada?we have to pay a 200$ tax here for"other"weapons.

The short shotgun is okay under the following rules. It can be as short as you want if: It is a "factory" barrel (not cut or altered by a gunsmith) The stock does not fold or telescope, and the shotgun is not a semi auto.

For rifles you can have them as long as they are over 26" in length when telescoped or folded. If they are less than that they are restricted and can only be taken to a gun range. These have to have factory barrels as well.

You can "saw off" any barrel as long as the barrel is 18.5" or longer when you are done.

There's no extra tax on short guns here - although buying an aftermarket short barrel is often quite expensive anyway.

I'm sort of new again to firearms:
  • Marlin 795 semi-auto .22 LR
  • Ruger NM Blackhawk (rvlvr) .44 Mag
  • Winchester 94 lever .30-30
  • H&R Topper Deluxe single shot 12 GA

I may purchase a Ruger .22 Single Six revolver. Not sure yet.

Once I get used to shooting again, the .22 and shotgun may go to my son once I get what I really want.

I'm thinking of a savage bolt .22 with the heavy bbl. to replace the Marlin 795, and a Mossberg field / security combo 12 GA to replace the H&R.

Who wants to know? Inquiring minds want to know.

Why? It's a forum. We talk about stuff.

If you don't want to tell then don't. It's still a "free country" in the U.S. and Canada.

Here are mine. Sorry for the oversized pic. My Remington 870 Express w/28"barrel(too long for me) and some add-ons. And Stevens/Savage 22LR Semi-auto. It's old, was kinda abused before I got it, but I'm gonna take it apart this weekend and bring it up to work and clean the pieces in our ultrasonic tank. We'll see how it feeds and ejects after that.

Gotta get that barrel down to 18.5" then it'll look and handle right with that folder.

My Remington 870 Police magnum 14" with Vang Comp and Knoxx Spec Ops.

Yeah, I gotta get a shorter barrel. The darn thing is useless in close quarters, unless I fold up the stock, and even then, not much better. I'm looking for a replacement 18.5", wanna keep my 28" for hunting.

Nice pic, Canadian!
